Cyrano de Bergerac ..puh-lease..

So I read this play, it was interesting. I'm personally not a fan of the French, expect for the food, fashion, and creation of fancy sounding words; this play is very French. It was very well written, and I could easily (for the most part) paint a mental picture of the situations that occurred. Unfortunately, as I've stated before, I am not the biggest reader, but this play wasn't as difficult to read and understand as Hedda Gabler. Cyrano is a likable character to me, I think if he were a real person, I would want to be his friend; he is incredibly smart and quite the linguist. I felt bad for him though, the size of his nose is something he cannot change and is very self-conscious about it; to the point where he is unable to tell Roxane that he loves her. I feel bad for him, he wrote a letter to Roxana, he helped Christian to get his woman, and he promised to protect Christian in the war; if I knew Cyrano, I would've told him to grow a pair and get with the program; before he died.
